A. Owner Compensation Tax Effects Individuals classify salary as money received every payday, however, the term is slightly different for business owners. Business owners are customarily compensated based on which business entity is elected. Business owners of sole proprietorships and partnerships are not entitled to actual salaries, but they receive profit distributions from business operations. Profits from a partnership are further divided up based on each partner’s percentage ownership. They are not responsible for paying the FICA tax, but they need to pay self-employment taxes and quarterly estimated taxes. Business owners of C and S corporations are compensated in one of two ways: salaries or dividends as a shareholder. In addition to receiving a reasonable salary, payment of Social Security and Medicare taxes are expected. Business owners prefer to be compensated with cash salaries, dividends, or distributions (How Business Owners are Paid by the Business 2016). Before compensation can be distributed to a business owner of an S-corporation, the amount in question must be something that the IRS will see as reasonable. Reasonable compensation is not to be over the money received by a shareholder in relation to his or her business involvement. The last straw game was very exciting with various scenarios depicting real life moments. The key feature in the game was social economic status. This is because according to research socioeconomic factors are the main determinants of health disparities. Disparities exist when differences in health outcomes or health determinants are observed between populations. In the United States health disparities are well known problems among ethnic groups such as African Americans, Asia Americans, Native American and Latinos. Other disparities that contribute to unequal health outcomes include race, gender, sexual and orientation. The aim of this game was to make us aware of the health disparities among the population and to equip us with the mindset that these are challenges real. As healthcare professionals we can contribute in bridging that gap through educational programs and policies. Poverty is a cycle that creeks from one generation to another. The only way to stop this trend is to invest in the education of the old and new alike. Superlative adverbs express absolute superiority or inferiority. Superiority, the idea that something is the most ___ or the ___est, is expressed with le plus ___ in French. Inferiority, meaning that something is the least ___, is stated with le moins ___. Notes About French Superlatives Unlike comparatives, French superlatives require the definite article. For example, Il est le plus grand - Hes the tallest.Superlatives are most commonly used with adjectives, but you can also use them with adverbs, verbs, and nouns. Reflection Kids Are Different Today - 1458 Words
What was your favorite childhood toy? When my mother and I were asked that question, our responses were considerably different. My mother stated that her favorite childhood toy was her softball glove and softball, while I said that mine was my Nintendo Gameboy, circa 1989. If you were to ask a child today what their favorite childhood toy is, I would venture to guess that their answer would be quite different from those two already mentioned. Today, technology is not the only element that has affected change on children in today’s world. According to Coy l, â€Å"Peer relations can promote social and emotional development or hinder it†(2009, p. 406). Negative or positive social situations can contribute to a child’s physical development. For example, if a child has a bad fight with a friend at school, they might come home and â€Å"stress eat†to make the situation temporarily feel better. This could contribute to child obesity causing poor physical development. Looking at a different aspect, another example would be the fact the children are so aware of body image, and feel that they might fit in better if they had an â€Å"ideal†body type. These factors can apply to some extent to elementary, middle level, and secondary age levels. An effective classroom is the key to students’ learning. In my future classroom, I want to apply these theories and keys to effective teaching in order to be a successful teacher. I feel it is important for a teacher to have that connection with their students, as well as the satisfaction received when their students understand and enjoy the material. I want my future classroom to be a comfortable environment for learning, and draw them into a world of learning. I plan on teaching the upper elementary and middle level grades. The land of Punt was seen as â€Å"God’s Land†so the expedition into the area brought about a certain amount of religious respect to Hatshepsut for organising the journey to the land of the Gods.It also showed how powerful and commanding Hatshepsut has become and how intelligent she was because she was able to use the military in a diplomatic role. She presented the expedition in such a way as to reinforce how important it was by having Egyptian artists construct a magnificent and detailed set of pictorials which tell the story of the journey and why it was so important. This pictorial was situated in the reliefs of Middle Colonnade n ext to the Divine Birth scene at her temple at Deir el Bahari and involved the Egyptian Gods Hathor, Thoth and Amon.This positioning and inclusion of these Gods only further outlines its importance to Hatshepsut and shows how she wish to show her accomplishments with all. The various exotic goods which Egypt, because of its landscape and lack of natural resources, was unable to produce were present in the land of Punt. So through this trade agreement Egypt was able to gain various exotic products like myrrh, frankincense, fragrant ointments, many valuable woods, much sweet-smelling resin, quantities of ebony and ivory, also fish and other fauna and flora were collected during the expedition.All these good were collected and were used for various building programs and various religious purposes and cosmetics. The subsequent lack of wood produced by Egypt was unfortunate because of the amount of timber needed for the construction of many of their buildings and the importance of boats travelling up and down the Nile River only drove this need for wood even more. The land of Punt provided a solution because of its abundance in this specific resource which is another reason why this expedition was so crucial to the people of Egypt.The many resources this expedition provided was able to boost Egypt’s already booming economy into a place of subsequent prosperity. First hint of virtual reality had come from the world of science fiction. In the year 1935, Stanley G. Weinbaum wrote a short story named "Pygmalion's Spectacles". This was the first book, where the concept of virtual reality was first explored. It explored a goggle-based virtual reality system along with holographic record of fictional experience. It included touch and smell. The use of virtual reality concept can be seen in training perspective. It allows the professionals to conduct training in regards to a virtual environment. In this system, augmented display was used by the mean of generated graphic for demonstrating simple wireframe drawing.
